I had a love-hate relationship with sewing growing up, and we’re on better terms now. It’s mostly love.

I first learned to sew when I was 10 years-old from my grandmother. When I completed my first project, a horse pillow for my best friend, on my mother's sewing machine, the feeling of accomplishment helped me keep pushing to learn and get better at sewing. This was also before YouTube and other online platforms were as helpful as they are today, so I went through a lot of trial and error in the beginning. In high school I was gifted my very own sewing machine, and the rest is history.
I has done a number of alterations for friends and family over the years, including my sister's wedding dress and all of the bridesmaids dresses for the wedding. Also the bridesmaid and mother dresses for my wedding. I have made clothes for myself and others, and frequently mend clothes, especially for my husband.
In my free time, I enjoy walking the dog with my husband, being in the woods, and spending time with my loved ones.
